We currently have an exciting Full Time opportunity for an Electrical Technical Coordinator to join our Facilities Maintenance & Operations team. This role is based out of New Westminster, BC.
Build on your education and experience as you:
- Provide leadership and technical expertise to assigned locations by standardizing, planning, implementing and evaluating quality maintenance initiatives designed to improve quality of electrical power generation, distribution and service, service utilization, safety and risk reduction, in collaboration with FMO regional and site based teams.
- Coordinate the education, planning, organizing, scheduling and implementation of tools and mechanisms to measure, monitor and evaluate standardization and maintenance quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of equipment, wiring, and software/hardware applications are maintained to recognized standards.
- Provide education/consultation, facilitation and coaching to the FMO service group(s) in the standardization, development, monitoring and analysis of key performance and maintenance quality indicators in alignment with best practice and national standards to comply with Fraser Health's reporting requirements.
- Manage the standardization, planning, organization, implementation and control of the FMO maintenance systems at assigned locations; plan and manage annual plans for infrastructure upgrades.
- Review the specifications and contract documents for maintenance projects for all acute sites and community leased spaces as they pertain to electrical infrastructure; oversee the efficient operation of the Facilities Maintenance & Operations CAFM (computer-aided facilities management) system by troubleshooting problems, providing training to user groups and acting as a resource to staff.
- Participate in the development, evaluation and implementation of policies and procedures, systems, standards and quality improvement activities.
- Provide input into the selection of consultants for projects and into the selection, orientation and evaluation process for FMO personnel.
- Perform staff training and education in technical areas and perform relief services for the Manager, FMO services as required.
In this key role, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical advice to Managers and other stakeholders in the development, standardization, implementation, and evaluation of various quality maintenance initiatives to improve Facilities Management & Operation's (FMO) programs.
As the successful candidate you have:
- A recognized formal trades apprenticeship certificate relevant to the role or equivalent supplemented by successful completion of courses in a supervisory role
- Three (3) years' related experience in an institutional setting, inclusive of two (2) years' experience in a maintenance supervisory capacity
