We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Physiotherapy Department at Burnaby Hospital. Burnaby Hospital is centrally located on the border of Vancouver and is easily accessible by bus from various Skytrain stations. Burnaby Hospital is one of three Fraser Health sites designated as an Arthroplasty Center of Excellence and the largest community hospital within Fraser Health. Our site is currently undergoing a multi-stage expansion to support the growing Burnaby population.
In this Inpatient Physiotherapist position, you will have the opportunity to practice in the core areas of Musculoskeletal, Respiratory and Neurological on our various units which include Orthopedics, Surgical, ICU, Cardiac, Stroke, Medical, Emergency and Elder Care. This position is one of our 6-month extended shift lines with the opportunity to rotate every 6 months between Critical Care and Ortho/Surgical units.
Days of work are Monday-Friday, weekends and statutory holidays; schedule: 4 days on, 4 days off; hours: 0730-1845.

Provides physiotherapy services in accordance with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC) standards of practice, Fraser Health mission, values and physiotherapy acute care standard, and in collaboration and partnership with the interprofessional care team in the provision of patient and family centered care. Provides assessment, physiotherapy diagnosis and prognosis, treatment plan development, implementation and evaluation, and patient consultation and education to enable the patient to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes. Participates in approved physical therapy and interprofessional research, special projects, and program quality and safety activities.
Education and Experience
Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
